    Roundabout Theatre CompanyYou can have a long and rewarding career in the theatre even if you never set foot on stage – backstage, where the action is! Roundabout Theatre Company and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees are offering a new, three-year training program on behind-the-scenes work.

    THEATRICAL WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

    Roundabout Theatre Company is partnering with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (I.A.T.S.E.), which represents many of the behind-the-scenes workers in theatre and film, to deliver a paid, 29 hour/week training program for theatre technicians. The training areas include carpentry, electrics/lighting, sound/audio, and wardrobe.

    WHO SHOULD APPLY?

    Applicants should be current NYC residents, 18–24 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent. They should also be legally eligible to work in the US. Additional requirements include an ability to: Lift up to 50 lbs; Work in dark spaces with loud noises; stand for up to two hours at a time.

    HOW TO APPLY

    THINGS TO KNOW
