  • Kick Start Your Culinary Career with First Course NYC!

    First Course NYC is a 14-week culinary apprenticeship program comprised of eight weeks of classroom kitchen training delivered by experienced chefs/instructors, followed by six weeks of on-the-job training in respected New York City restaurants.

    Program Features

    • Eight weeks of free, hands-on culinary training led by an experienced NYC chef (weekly MetroCard and stipend of $325)
    • Earn the NYC Food Protection Certificate
    • Six weeks of paid ($16/hour), on-the-job training with a respected NYC restaurant
    • Connection to full-time employment as a restaurant line cook
