    NYCHA partner Adult Education Class

Did you know you could access local and free Adult Education classes? Did you know you could increase your employment earnings over the course of your life with additional education and training?

The New York City Housing Authority’s (NYCHA) Office of Resident Economic Empowerment and Sustainability (REES) can help NYCHA residents by connecting them to Adult Education classes!  REES has partnerships with high-performing educational and training partners to help you find right program to achieve your educational goals.

Why should I participate in an Adult Education class?

    • To improve and enrich your reading, writing, and math skills: an adult education class such as Pre-HSE, College Prep, or a Test Preparation Course can help you strengthen your academic skills.
    • To prepare for the HSE exam: in order to successfully obtain your High School Equivalency diploma, an adult education class can empower you with the skills, practice and strategies needed to pass the exam.
    • To increase the potential for higher wages over your lifetime: research has proven that weekly earnings can increase with a high school equivalency diploma, job skills training, or post secondary education.

Want to learn more? Ready to connect with an adult education partner?

Please contact the REES Hotline number 718-289-8100 or register online to attend a REES info session.
