ServiceNow/IT Trainer

Spruce Technology is a nationwide provider of technology solutions services assisting prominent clients in the private and public sectors. We are seeking an IT Trainer/ServiceNow to join our project team at NYCHA. The trainer will work primarily with the Spruce project team to develop training plans and packages and perform online and in-person training supporting ServiceNow ITSM and IT Service Catalog modules.
- Work location: Remote and/or 90 Church St, Manhattan, NY
- Working hours and number of hours per week:35 hr. (9 am to 5 pm)
- Salary/Rate: $70/hr.
- Assignment: Contract
- Length of assignment: 2 months
Roles & Responsibilities:
- 7+ years’ experience in technical training of hardware and software
- 7+ years’ experience writing user guides and manuals for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of request and case management applications, understanding of business process terminology, and familiarity with IT Service Management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently or with a team.
- Ability to learn a software capability built by the project team to train the user base once released.
- Excellent technical writing, documentation, editing, and formatting skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills to clearly convey the use of the software.
- Have excellent skills with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and MS Teams.
- Leads the user training and delivers the training content remotely and in in-person training sessions.
- Ability to manage remote training sessions over MS Teams, Zoom, etc.
- Experience writing detailed and simple user guides and manuals.
- Experience demonstrating hardware and software to a diverse audience of technical and non-technical participants.
- Experience demonstrating live in a hands-on or lecture presentation setting.
- Experience setting up training environments, executing business cases, and reporting system defects to the project team.
- Coordinate with clients to plan training sessions, facilitate meetings, and set up participant invites.
- Record user attendance during the training, and report training progress and completion with the project manager.
- Assist with application go live and transition phase.
- Report on on-site location for in-person training and non-training related meetings as needed.
