QA Analyst

Spruce Technology is a nationwide provider of technology solutions services assisting prominent clients in the private and public sectors. We are seeking a QA Analyst to join our project team at NYCHA.
- Work location – Remote (USA)
- Working hours and number of hours per week 35 hr./week, 9 am to 5 pm
- Salary/Rate $59/hr.
- Contract or FT Contract
- Length of assignment if contract 3 months
Job Responsibilities:
As a ServiceNow Quality Assurance Analyst, you will:
- Responsible for the design, pilot, & implementation of the QA (Quality Assurance) review processes. QA analysts will work with project implementation teams.
- Work closely with the business process analyst and developers to understand requirements and review business requirements and functional and technical requirement artifacts.
- Work with the project manager to prepare project test plan and provide QA work effort estimates on the QA deliverables.
- Responsible for managing the test plan, implementing QA test cases, and executing of the test cases on each release.
- Create functional and regression tests suited for execution.
- As a QA analyst, maintain and coordinate system defects and issues logged from the text execution cycle to the project team.
- Prepare test execution report for each functional release to the QA team.
- Provides guidance and support during the UAT (user acceptance testing) and end-user training phase.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with system functional testing, regression testing, and smoke testing.
- Experience with creating QA deliverables such as test plans, test cases, test scripts, defect logs, regression test cases, and test execution reporting.
- Nice to have – prior knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and experience with testing ServiceNow configurations and functionality.
- Ability to work with a remote team, requiring the ability to communicate well via phone and email (writing and verbal skills).
- Good understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), and experience with waterfall and agile framework.
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Visio, and SharePoint.
- Experience using ServiceNow ITBM or Azure DevOps for test cases and defect management.
- A good understanding of manual testing principles and methodologies.
- An understanding of SQL language.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes.
- Experience with testing APIs, SOAP services.
