Year Up Info Session for January 2023 and March enrollment

Year Up provides yearlong training and corporate internships for young adults interested in professional careers in Business and Technology. Year Up alumni earn $46,000 a year on average and over 90% of YEAR UP graduates are working and/or in college within six months. There is also a 5-month, accelerated Career Immersion Program as a separate offering in some recruitment cycles.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

– Earn a stipend per week

– Learn in-demand technical, business, and professional skills

– Succeed in corporate internships with Fortune 500 companies, such as Google, JP Morgan Chase, New York Life and more!

– Belong to a community with on-going career support and guidance

To qualify, you must be:

– 18-29 years old

– High school graduate or GED recipient

– U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or have an employment authorization card

– Available 5 days a week (Monday – Friday) for the full year of the program

– Highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills

– Of low to moderate income

Follow these steps to register for this event in the NYCHA self-service portal – https://selfserve.nycha.info/

1. Register for online access & log-in to self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/which will allow you to manage your own events.
2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
3. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
4. Click “Upcoming Events”on the left side.
5. Select “Query.”
6. Go to the “Event Name” 
7. Type exactly as shown here (case sensitive):  Year Up 12-15-2022
8. Press Enter.
9. Click “View Details.“
10. Click “RSVP“
11. Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all of your scheduled events.
