Year Up provides training and corporate internships for young adults interested in professional careers in Business and Technology. Year Up alumni earn $53,000 a year on average and over 90% of YEAR UP graduates are working and/or in college within six months. In this recruitment cycle, the Banking program provides a 3-month training followed by a 6-month internship.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

– Earn a stipend per week

– Learn in-demand technical, business, and professional skills

– Succeed in corporate internships with Fortune 500 companies, such as Google, JP Morgan Chase, New York Life and more!

– Belong to a community with on-going career support and guidance

To qualify, you must be:

– 18-29 years old

– High school graduate or GED recipient

– U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or have an employment authorization card

– Available 5 days a week (Monday – Friday) for the full course of the program

– Highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills

– Of low to moderate income

Year Up New York is accepting applications for Spring 2025. The program starts on April 28, soon after the April 23 Info Session, and lasts 9 months.

  1. Register for online access & log-in to self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/ which will allow you to manage your own events.
  2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
  3. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
  4. Click “Upcoming Events” on the left side.
  5. Select “Query.”
  6. Go to the “Event Name” column.
  7. Type exactly as shown here (case sensitive):  Year Up 4-23-2025
  8. Press Enter.
  9. Click “View Details.“
  10. Click “RSVP.“
  11. Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all of your scheduled events.
