The Jobs-Plus of Woodside Houses and the Queens Workforce1 Industrial & Transportation Career (ITC) Center, in partnership with NYCHA REES, will host a Free Commercial Driver License (CDL) Training information session & hiring event for Woodside Houses residents. The following opportunities will be discussed.

Free Training:

Commercial Driver License (CDL)

Now Hiring:

• Foot Couriers/Drivers ($15-$19/hr)
• Shipping Assistants/Runners ($16+/hr)
• Non-CDL Merchandisers ($17-$25/hr)
• Non-CDL Delivery Drivers ($20.25/hr)
• CDL Class B Drivers ($17-$25/hr)
• CDL Class A or B Drivers w/passenger endorsement ($24-$29/hr)

Important Notes for Attendees:

Attendees must be at least 18 years old.

Attendees must bring photo identification for date of birth verification.

Please note Woodside Houses residents are eligible for free Jobs-Plus of Woodside services.

2.      Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”

3.      Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.

4.      Click “Upcoming Events” on the left side.

5.      Select “Query.”

6.      Go to the “Event Name” column

7.      Type exactly as shown here (case sensitive):  Workforce 1 ITC Queens 9-26-2023

8.      Press Enter.

9.      Click “View Details.“

10.  Click “RSVP.“

11.  Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all your scheduled events.
