The HOPE Program is currently offering no-cost, full-time career training programs with job placement assistance for New York City residents. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, legally allowed to work in the US, available Monday through Friday 9-5, and looking for employment.

We are currently recruiting for HOPEworks in the Bronx, NYC Cool Roofs, Intervene and Sustainable South Bronx.

HOPEworks in the Bronx

HOPEworks offers seven-week, in-depth job readiness and workforce skills training that pays $50 weekly stipends and connects you to countless job leads.

  • Seven (7) weeks of in-depth FULL-TIME job readiness and essential workforce skills training
  • Support to boost your job search confidence
  • Guidance to develop a well-polished resume, cover letter and interviewing game plan
  • Industry Training & Certifications such as OSHA 10 – Safety & Health General Industry, Eight- and 16-hour security guard, or Home Health Aide
  • $50 weekly stipend up to $300 total
  • Countless job leads PLUS Expedited Job Placement Assistance into full-time employment

Intervene

  • 10 weeks of paid, transitional employment training (combination of in-person and remote)
  • Hands-on learning through green infrastructure and horticulture projects across NYC while acquiring critical job skills
  • 8 industry certifications including OSHA-30, 10-hour Site Safety Training (SST), Flagger, Scaffolding, and more
  • Access to HOPE’s network of employer partners in green-collar jobs and lifelong career support

Sustainable South Bronx

  • 14 weeks of classroom-based career training in general construction and green-building operation
  • 8 industry certifications including OSHA-30, 10-hour Site Safety Training (SST), Flagger, Scaffolding, and more
  • Job placement assistance and up to $300 in stipends are available

NYC Coolroofs

  • 10-11 weeks of full-time, paid work experience installing energy saving reflective rooftops at a starting wage of $16 per hour
  • Opportunity to earn credentials in the construction sector, including OSHA 30 Site Safety Training Card (SST), 4-Hour Flagger, 4-Hour Scaffold User, and CPR/First Aid certifications at no cost

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be least 18 years old
  • Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Available full-time, Monday – Friday, 9-5, for 7 weeks
  • Eager to secure full-time employment in New York City

HOPEworks applicants may reside within the five boroughs of NYC or Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester Counties. No diploma or high school equivalency is required.
