Are you interested in starting a lucrative career?  Launch a career as an IT professional with Tech51!

Tech51 prepares NYCHA residents for career pathways in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and software development. This program supports aspiring technologists to enter two successful IT training workforce organizations, Per Scholas and Pursuit.

  1. Per Scholas offers multiple tuition-free training tracks for entry-level careers in information technology, cybersecurity and web development. Their courses lead to industry recognized CompTIA or Cisco certifications as well as professional development, and job placement assistance.
  2. Pursuit provides web development training and professional skills development to NYCHA residents to attain a job in a top tech company. Pursuits 10 month intensive training program is  followed by 3 years of ongoing one-on-one career development to help graduates continue to excel in their careers. Graduates currently work at Spotify, Pinterist, Mastercard, and more.

Minimal Admission Requirements:

  • Be a NYCHA resident
  • Be 18 years or older
  • Be able to pass an admissions exam
  • Interested in a career in Information Technology/Web Development

  1. Register for online access & log-in to self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/ which will allow you to manage your own events.
  2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
  3. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
  4. Click “Upcoming Events” on the left side.
  5. Select “Query.”
  6. Go to the “Event Name” column.

  8. Press Enter.
  9. Click “View Details.“
  10. Click “RSVP.“
  11. Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all of your scheduled events.
