The Workforce 1 Rockaway Career Center is presenting employment & job training opportunities for NYCHA residents. Workforce 1 provides services that will prepare and connect qualified candidates to employment and training opportunities in New York City. Candidates who attend this Workforce 1 event will be granted the fast-track privileges to utilize Workforce 1 services and have the opportunity to meet with employers!

Employment Opportunities Include:

Healthcare, Transportation, Customer Service, Retail/Sales, Admin, Social Services, Food Service, Airport Opportunities, and Recreation

1. Email a copy of your resume a week prior to:  REESPOSTINGS@nycha.nyc.gov (Please put Far Rockaway Job Fair 8/4 in the subject line)
2. List the type of positions you are interested in when you email your resume
3. Register and RSVP (Must be registered with Workforce1 within the last six months)

HOW TO REGISTER:

Follow these steps to register for this event in the NYCHA self-service portal – https://selfserve.nycha.info/

1. Register for online access & log-in to self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/ which will allow you to manage your own events.
2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
3. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
4. Click “Upcoming Events” on the left side.
5. Select “Query.”
6. Go to the “Event Name” column Type exactly as shown here (case sensitive):    WF1 Far Rockaway 8-4-2022
7. Press Enter.
8. Click “View Details.“
9. Click “RSVP.“
10. Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all of your scheduled events.
