Queens Connect Info Session for Culinary Program

Queens Connect provides young adults between the ages of 18 – 24 with 6-weeks training in work readiness training where they learn skills in conflict resolution, interviewing skills and customer service. Young adults gain hands on culinary training from a world renowned chef and prepare for the new York City Department of Health’s Food Protection Certification Exam. At the conclusion of the training period, youth are placed in paid internships within the food service industry. After the internship period, we assist young adults in securing full-time employmet.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be between 18 – 24 at date of enrollment
  • Must be out of school
  • Must be out of work
  • Mush be able to stand for long periods of time in hot and cold conditions
  • Must be available for all training dates.
