REES is recruiting for the inaugural cohort of the NYCHA Clean Energy Academy. NYCHA residents 18 years and over can train in the cutting-edge clean energy/infrastructure field. During a sixteen week (280 hour) course, NYCHA residents will develop the skills to install solar panels, transform heating and cooling systems, install and maintain heat pumps and learn various construction duties in order to perform a key role in transforming both the NYCHA community and our environment. Enrollment is free and trainees earn a stipend. This in-person program grants multiple industry-specific credentials, including OSHA 30 and site safety

Location:  REES Office- 787 Atlantic Avenue, 2nd Floor

 

  1. Register for online access & log-in to self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/which will allow you to manage your own events.
  2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
  3. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
  4. Click “Upcoming Events”on the left side.
  5. Select “Query.”
  6. Go to the “Event Name” 
  7. Type exactly as shown here (case sensitive): NYCHA Clean Energy Academy 3/16/2023 REES
  8. Press Enter.
  9. Click “View Details.“
  10. Click “RSVP“
  11. Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all of your scheduled events.
