NYC Service, in partnership with NYCHA (New York Housing Authority), will co-manage, train, and recruit a cohort of NYCHA Health Corp (NHC) AmeriCorps members.

NHC AmeriCorps members will be responsible for performing public health direct service and capacity-building initiatives.

This opportunity is exclusive to authorized NYCHA residents and NYCHA Section 8 recipients.

MEMBER SERVICE TERM will be 10 months: September 2024 – June 30, 2025 (1,200 hours during the 10-month)

NHC MEMBER BENEFITS 

  • Living allowance of $23,800 (pre-tax) for the duration of the service term
  • Monthly unlimited MetroCard (for commuting members)
