NRTA Pest Control Assessment 

Exclusively for NYCHA residents

Training will consist of: 3 Weeks of Full-Time In-Person Training

Preparation for the NYS Pesticide Certification Exam (7a) Exam fees included

Career Pathway to Opportunities into Employment

Eligibility:

  • Authorized NYCHA resident
  • 18 years or over
  • Have valid working documentation
  • Able to be on your feet 8 hours/day
  • Be able to pass a drug test
  • Obtain a minimum score of 80% on the Assessment
  • No High School Diploma, or GED is required
  • Driver’s license preferred

Location: Virtual (This assessment exam is conducted via Survey Monkey)

  1. Register for online access and/or log-in to the NYCHA self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/
  2. Once you are logged in, click “Manage Your Account.”
  3. Click “Opportunity Connect” icon.
  4. Go to “Upcoming Events” on the left menu.
  5. Select NRTA Pest Control Assessment Wednesday February 04, 2026 Virtual as shown here (case sensitive): on the list of upcoming events and click “view details“
  6. You must read and confirm the “Information Sharing and Consent Statement” to continue to the final RSVP step.
  7. Click “RSVP.“
