Recruiting NOW for upcoming 2014 Construction Class!
Taking the TABE test is the first step to apply for the NRTA Construction training program. The TABE is a timed test that assesses both reading and math skills. The length of the exam is 65 minutes. There are three sections:
- Reading- 25 minutes
- Math computation- 15 minutes
- Applied math- 25 minutes
You can RSVP online for this TABE Session.
If you are unable to register online, call the REES Hotline at 718-289-8100. Mention the NRTA Construction TABE when you call.
To qualify for training, you must:
- Be a NYCHA resident on the lease
- Be 18 years old or over
- Have valid working documentation
- Be able to work for 8 hours on your feet
- Be able to pass a drug test
- Be able to pass the TABE test at a 7.0 reading/math level
- Have a High School Diploma, or GED is required
