Free Virtual First-Time Homebuyer Seminar

Thinking about buying a first-home? Not sure where to start?

​

Topics will include understanding the mortgage process, credit, down payment/closing cost assistance, etc. etc.  The seminar will last between 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours including questions, and be available to NYCHA residents.  The seminar will be conducted either on the Zoom platform or WebEx.  Participants who don’t have a computer/smart phone/tablet will be able to listen on their phones, although they will be unable to view any images.

 

The speakers will consist of NHS of Brooklyn, a real estate attorney, lender, real estate agent, and home inspector.

Steps to Register in NYCHA Self Service

 

Follow these steps to register for this event in the NYCHA self-service portal – https://selfserve.nycha.info/

  1. Register for online access & log-in to self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/which will allow you to manage your own events.
  2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
  3. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
  4. Click “Upcoming Events”on the left side.
  5. Select “Query.”
  6. Go to the “Event Name”  Type exactly as shown here (case sensitive):   NHS of Brooklyn 5-3-2023
  7. Press Enter.
  8. Click “View Details.“
  9. Click “RSVP“
  10. Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all of your scheduled events.
