LaGuardia Community College’s Division of Adult and Continuing Education is recruiting for the Community Health Worker (CHW) Certificate Training. This comprehensive program prepares learners to enter or advance in the workforce as a CHW. This IN-PERSON evening and weekend training provides instruction, activities, and a required 125-hour internship. Classes start August 4!

To apply, minimally you must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalency. To learn more about the training and additional application requirements, please call the REES hotline at (718) 289-8100 or RSVP online to attend an upcoming information session.

Minimum Application Requirements:

  • Be 18 years or older and seeking full-time employment within the healthcare industry.
  • Obtain a passing score on a reading, writing, and computer assessment.
  • Be a US citizen or a permanent resident.
  • Have a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Be available to attend IN-PERSON classes on 3 – 4 weekday evenings and Saturday classes for the duration of the training.
  • Have access to computer or laptop to complete assignments.
