FREE Green Maintenance for Buildings Training with HireNYCHA

Green Maintenance for Buildings is a FREE, full-time 5-week training program designed to provide entry-level skills necessary to work as a janitor, custodian, or porter in residential and commercial buildings. The training provides resident’s with:

  • Introduction to Energy Efficiency
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Intro to Green Products & Processes
  • Fundamentals of Building Maintenance
  • OSHA 30 and 10-Hour Site Safety 
  • Refuse & Recycling
  • Industrial Floor Care and Restoration
  • Introduction to Trade Tools
  • Job Readiness & Life Management Skills 
  • Employment Referrals

High School Diploma or GED preferred.  Applicants have to attend an information session as the first step in the application process.

Information Sessions will be held promptly at 10:00 am

  2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”

  9. Click “View Details.“
