Manhattan Education Opportunity Center (MEOC) is recruiting NYCHA residents for the following programs:

  • English for Speakers of Other Languages (All Levels)
  • High School Equivalency Prep (HSE)
  • College Prep
  • OSHA 30 Construction Training
  • Hospitality Training Program
  • Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
  • Security Officer Training
  • Certified Microsoft® Office and more (CMO)

Enrollment Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma for Vocational Training Programs
  • Must take TABE test
  • 18 years of age or older
  • NOT a college graduate
  • US citizen, Permanent Resident or Refugee
  • New York State Resident for a year (prior to enrollment)
  • Meet low-income guidelines

What to expect at the Information Session:

  • Residents interested will be registered for the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) test at the information session
  • Learn about the application process and eligibility requirements

  1. Register for online access & log-in to self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/ which will allow you to manage your own events.
  2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
  3. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
  4. Click “Upcoming Events” on the left side.
  5. Select “Query.”
  6. Go to the “Event Name” column.
  7. Type exactly as shown here (case sensitive):  MEOC Information Session – October 17, 2019 @ 11:00am
  8. Press Enter.
  9. Click “View Details.“
  10. Click “RSVP.“
  11. Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all of your scheduled events.
