West Harlem Environmental Action (WEACT) will offer FREE hazardous waste worker training to NYCHA residents that live in Upper Manhattan. Successful Completion of worker training program will lead to union employment. Classes start in 2016.

Receive Training In:

  • OSHA
  • Lead
  • Asbestos
  • Hazardous Waste Worker
  • Hazardous Waste Awareness
  • Mold Remediation
  • Disaster Preparedness
  • Light Construction Skills in Spanish and English

Applications Must Be:

  • Over 18 years of age
  • NYCHA Resident on the lease
  • Live in Upper Manhattan including West, Central, or East Harlem
  • Interest in becoming a hazardous waste worker

To register you must attend at least one information session. Space is limited.
