FREE Green Maintenance for Buildings Program at City-Tech

Green Maintenance for Buildings is a FREE, full-time 9-week training program designed to provide entry-level skills necessary to work as a janitor, custodian, or porter in residential and commercial buildings. The training provides resident’s with:

  • Introduction to Energy Efficiency
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Intro to Green Products & Processes
  • Fundamentals of Building Maintenance
  • Elements of Electricity & Wiring
  • OSHA 10 – Construction Safety
  • Refuse & Recycling
  • Industrial Floor Care and Restoration
  • Plumbing Basics
  • Lock Installation and Repair
  • Sheetrock Installation
  • Introduction to Trade Tools
  • Job Readiness & Life Management Skills 
  • Job Placement Assistance

You do NOT need a HSD or GED in order to qualify. Prospective applicants will have to complete a TABE (Test for Adult Basic Education) exam. Applicants do not have to register for an information session to attend.  But you must arrive on time or risk being asked to return another time. Attend an information session today!
