The Bronx Workforce 1 Career Centers are presenting employment & job training opportunities for Bronx NYCHA residents. Workforce 1 provides services that will prepare and connect qualified candidates to employment and training opportunities in New York City.

Candidates who attend this Workforce 1 event will be granted the fast-track privileges to utilize Workforce 1 services and have the opportunity to meet with employers!

Sera Security – Payrate: $15.00/hr.

  • Hrs: Full-time 40 hours per week
  • Preferred F02
  • Up to date 8 & 16 hour certificates
  • Valid NYS Security License
  • Must have 6 months Experience

 Watch Guard Security – Payrate: $18.00/hr.

  • Hrs: Full-time 40 hours per week
  • Immediate Hire
  • Up to date 8 & 16 hour certificates, and a F02
  • Valid NYS Security License
  • Must have 1 Year Experience

SOS Security – Pay is $16 – $22/hr.

  • Looking for high end Security Guards. Must be able to stand for entire shift.
  • Up to date 8 & 16 hour certificates
  • Valid NYS Security License
  • Must have 1 Year Experience

 PBM Residential Maintenance Worker

  • Pay is $15/hr. (40 hours) Monday through Friday (Weekends off)
  • Need to know how to use the compactor room/ trash room
  • Males only (Heavy lifting 50-60 lbs.)
  • Must be able pass a background check
  • Must be able to pass a drug test (toxicology)
  • Must be clean cut.
  • Must have open availability Monday through Friday
  • Must have black work boots
  • Must have active cell phone
  • Must have unexpired government issued ID
  • Must have original SS card

 Magnolias Bakery: Porter

  • Pay is $15/hr.
  • Cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing all equipment including, but not limited to, dishes, pots, pans, tools, utensils, tables and chairs, and grease traps.
  • Maintaining a neat appearance of working areas and employee and customer bathrooms.
  • Keep bakery supplies generally organized and tidy.
  • Assist in putting away and maintaining the organization of food, paper, and other supply deliveries.
  • Keep bakery grounds (inside and out) by: sweeping and mopping all floors, breaking down cardboard boxes, emptying trash cans, taking out recycling, cleaning windows and doors, walls, floor boards, moldings, and base boards.
  • Daily transportation of food or other products/items from storage rooms.
  • Monitors inventory of cleaning supplies.
  • No educational requirement
  • No drug or background test

Magnolias Bakery: Customer Service Representative

  • Pay is $15/hr.
  • Answer telephone in a friendly, professional manner and direct incoming phone calls.
  • Learn production rules and timings specific to your store.
  • Enter orders for customers, and ensure pickups and deliveries are ready/go out on time.
  • Ensure all orders are up to Magnolia Bakery standards.
  • Assist customers in selecting baked goods to suit their special occasion. This may involve directing or steering customers in a different direction than they originally reached out to us for.
  • Track order information in the database.
  • Monitor “special” orders to ensure they are executed smoothly.
  • Coordinate and communicate “special” orders with management.
  • Work closely with store-level management team to delegate responsibilities associated with “special” orders.
  • Handle logistics and transportation/delivery of orders, including event props.
  • Ensure we have the appropriate props, special supplies, and sprinkles for all orders/events.
  • Work events when necessary.
  • Completing/filling out any required paperwork or training material.
  • Assume the role of “counter staff” when needed and during downtime.
  • No educational requirement
  • No drug or background test

SHLEPPERS: Driver/Mover

  • Pay is $15/hr.
  • 6 months professional experience driving a box truck
  • No more than 2 points off your driver’s license
  • More than 2 years with a NYS driver’s license
  • No prior suspensions
  • Able to lift 50-60lbs
