The Financial Literacy & Integrity Program with Brooklyn Neighborhood Services is a nine-step workshop that will help you create a healthy, empowering relationship with money, allowing you to get beyond money concerns to help fulfill your goals.

The information session will be conducted via. Zoom (partners account), the link will be shared with residents after RSVP.

Taught by a professional financial literacy counselor, the program will provide many skills and positive outcomes:

  • Feel more empowered about money
  • Learn how to get out of debt faster
  • Preparing a personal balance sheet
  • Monthly budgeting and personal spending tracking
  • Financial independence planning
  • Reduce stress around money
  • Prepare you for first-time homeownership

Steps to Register in NYCHA Self Service

Follow these steps to register for this event in the NYCHA self-service portal – https://selfserve.nycha.info/

  1. Register for online access & log-in to self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/which will allow you to manage your own events.
  2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
  3. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
  4. Click “Upcoming Events” on the left side.
  5. Select “Query.”
  6. Go to the “Event Name” column.
  7. Type exactly as shown here (case sensitive): “Event Name: FINANCIAL LITERACY & INTEGRITY PROGRAM – Session
  1. Press Enter.
  2. Click “View Details.“
  3. Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all of your scheduled events.
