AHRC is recruiting 16-24 year old NYCHA residents for the following programs:

  • Young Adult Internship Program– As a YAIP intern you will receive: 4 weeks of paid orientation prior to the internship, 10 weeks of paid internship, work readiness training, job counseling.  Offering opportunities to: secure your GED, prepare for college admission, job placement assistance, and financial aid education. Earn up to $2,800 while you intern, through their 14 week program. Current internship offerings include: retail, maintenance, culinary arts, and office administration.  At the end of the internship you will receive 9 months of assistance in finding and keep a job or successfully continuing your education and/or training goals

How to Qualify :

  • Must be 16-24 years of age.
  • Must be out of school.  Do not have a college degree.
  • Must be economically disadvantaged or with a developmental disability.
