Expect more day care centers in public housing developments.

The city is offering a new program for NYCHA residents to help them launch at-home child care centers, including training in CPR, grant-writing, and prep for passing Health Department inspections.

The 15-week program — dubbed Childcare Business Pathways — starts on Oct. 3 at NYCHA’s Office of Resident Economic Empowerment and Sustainability in Brooklyn.

NYCHA Chair Shola Olatoye said the program will “strengthen pathways to economic opportunity for residents while providing more safe, affordable childcare options for families across our city.”
