Do You Love Working with People?

The HOPE Program is recruiting NYCHA residents for their Work Readiness Training program that prepares individuals for a diversity of jobs in the Food, Retail, Maintenance, Security and Clerical and Industries. They’re targeting ages 18-24, but all are welcome!

HOPE Training includes: 

  • Customer Service and Computer Skills
  • Business Writing
  • New trends in Cashiering, Food Safety, and Product Display
  • Communication and Professionalism
  • What is takes to secure a job and to advance in a career

Orientation Held:

Wednesday, December 2nd and 9th  at 9:00 a.m (Sharp)

The HOPE Program

One Smith Street (Corner of Fulton Street) Brooklyn, NY 11201

Directions: 2,3,4,5, to Borough Hall or A,C,F,R, train to Jay Street

Must bring with you all of the following: 

Social Security Card, State ID and Birth Certificate

Eligibility: 

Must be 18 years or older/ Legally able to work/ Full-Time Availability 9am to 5pm

Benefits: 

  • Paid internships
  • Get experience in a gourmet supermarket, restaurant, corporate, cafeteria, food pantry or soup kitchen
  • Complete OSHA-10 General Training and Food Handler’s License for free
  • Work with a Career Specialist for job placement support
  • Receive job retention support and career advancement services
