ABOUT THE THEATRICAL WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The Theatrical Workforce Development Program is a multi-year program that trains theatre technicians in areas that include: carpentry, electrics, audio, properties, and wardrobe. This three-year program gives trainees the skills they need, hands-on experience, and mentoring as they enter the technical theatre industry. This is a paid training program and includes transportation support via a monthly MTA travel card for the first year.

Technical theatre professionals are in high demand. Plus, theatre tech skill sets are transferable – a wealth of career opportunities exist in film, television, sports, events, and music.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Applicants should be 18-24 years old, current NYC residents, have a high school diploma or equivalent and be legally eligible to work in the U.S.

Roundabout Theatre and NYCHA REES are hosting a Virtual information session on Tuesday, April 30th at 3 pm, via ZOOM
