If you are a resident of Woodside Houses, you may be eligible to participate in a Free OSHA 30-hour training offered by Jobs-Plus of Woodside provided by America Works of New York, Inc.

The New York OSHA 30-hour construction safety and health program is designed to provide employees with certain safety skills and more in-depth and varied training on a broader range of issues related to construction workplace risks.

To learn more about this vocational training opportunity, please RSVP to join the in-person information session.

Requirements:

  • Must be a NYCHA resident of Woodside Houses
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Available to attend weekly check-in modules every Thursday at 9:00 a.m.
  • Interest in a career in construction

  1. Register for online access & log-in to self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/which will allow you to manage your own events.
  2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
  3. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
  4. Click “Upcoming Events”on the left side.
  5. Select “Query.”
  6. Go to the “Event Name” column

  8. Press Enter.
  9. Click “View Details.“
  10. Click “RSVP“
  11. Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all your scheduled events.
