Please be advised that the “Linking Interests to Careers Program” at LaGuardia Community College is currently only available to NYCHA residents of the following developments:

• Astoria Houses
• Queensbridge Houses
• Ravenswood Houses
• Woodside Houses

If you do not reside in the developments listed above, please contact the REES hotline at (718) 289-8100, to learn about other local or citywide adult education offerings.

Description:

If you are a resident of Astoria, Queensbridge, Ravenswood, or Woodside Houses, you may be eligible to participate in LaGuardia Community College’s “Linking Interests to Careers” program.

To learn more about this education and career advancement opportunity, please RSVP to join a virtual information session to hear a LaGuardia Community College representative discuss the program and its many benefits.

Linking Interest to Careers Program (adults 18 years old & up):

• High School Equivalency (HSE) programs
• English as a second language classes
• Workforce training
• College enrollment assistance

Those who RSVP will receive an email notification with the zoom meeting information prior to the event. Please confirm that your email and telephone number is correct in the NYCHA Self-Service portal in order to receive a notification.

How to RSVP:

Follow these steps to register for this event in the NYCHA self-service portal – https://selfserve.nycha.info/

1. Register for online access & log-in to self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/which will allow you to manage your own events.
2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
3. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
4. Click “Upcoming Events”on the left side.
5. Select “Query.”
6. Go to the “Event Name” column
7. Type exactly as shown here (case sensitive):  LaGuardia Community College 12/6/2022
8. Press Enter.
9. Click “View Details.“
10. Click ““
11. Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all your scheduled events.
