Grace Institute’s employer-driven workforce training programs help women develop the professional skills employers have identified as being needed by today’s administrative and customer service professionals. We offer two programs:

 

Administrative Professionals (AP) Program

Helps women gain employment in a variety of industries, with a curriculum that includes:

  • Office Technology: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Suite
  • Administration: calendaring and scheduling, coordinating travel arrangements, project management, budgeting and expense reports
  • Verbal and non-verbal communication
  • Professional Skills: problem solving; time management; working in teams, workplace etiquette, managing up
  • Job Search: cover letter and resume support, LinkedIn profile, and interviewing skills

 

Patient Service Representative (PSR) Program

Helps women gain employment in the healthcare field as an administrator, with a curriculum that includes:

  • Medical office administration: managing phone calls/messages, scheduling appointments, clinic prep/reconciliation, handling difficult interactions, insurance documentation, electronic health record, EPIC
  • Supporting patients
  • Job search: cover letter and resume support, LinkedIn profile, and interviewing skills
  • Office technology: Outlook, Word, Excel and Google Suite

 

**Open to Women aged 18-64**

  1. Register for online access & log-in to self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/ which will allow you to manage your own events.
  2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
  3. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
  4. Click “Upcoming Events” on the left side.
  5. Select “Query.”
  6. Go to the “Event Name” column
  7. Type exactly as shown here (case sensitive): Grace Institute 1-23-2023
  8. Press Enter.
  9. Click “View Details.“
  10. Click “RSVP.“
  11. Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all of your scheduled events.
