Phipps Neighborhoods is recruiting NYCHA residents between the ages of 18 and 26 who are interested in careers in healthcare including:

  • Patient Care Technician
  • Clinical Medical Assistant
  • Medical Administrative Assistant

Career Network Healthcare offers:

  • Paid internship program
  • Free Metro Cards and support services
  • Combination of classroom studies at Hostos Community College and hands-on opportunities at Montefiore Medical Center & NewYork Presbyterian Weill Cornell

Enrollment requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED/HSE
  • Must pass drug test and background check
  • Must be fully vaccinated
  • 18 to 26 years of age
  • Interest and commitment to the healthcare field

  1. Register for online access & log-in to self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/which will allow you to manage your own events.
  2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
  3. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
  4. Click “Upcoming Events”on the left side.
  5. Select “Query.”
  6. Go to the “Event Name”

  8. Press Enter.
  9. Click “View Details.“
  10. Click “RSVP“
  11. Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all of your scheduled events.
