Ready to Join the Carpenters Union? Attend a BuildingWorks Information Session!

BuildingWorks is a pre-apprenticeship training that prepares you for the NYC District Council of Carpenters Apprenticeship. Classes are held at the Carpenters Training Center in lower Manhattan, and some classes are conducted virtually.

Sessions include: an introduction to the Carpenters Apprenticeship, basic skills for the trade and worker safety training.

Classes are offered in multi-week cycles scheduled throughout the year.

Successful BuildingWorks graduates are recommended to begin the Carpenter’s Union Apprenticeship, securing a career with high earning potential and an attractive benefit package

Follow these steps to register for this event in the NYCHA self-service portal – https://selfserve.nycha.info/

1. Register for online access & log-in to self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/ which will allow you to manage your own events.
2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
3. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
4. Click “Upcoming Events” on the left side.
5. Select “Query.”
6. Go to the “Event Name” column
7. Type exactly as shown here ( case sensitive): Building Works Information Session 12-29-2021
8. Press Enter.
9. Click “View Details.“
10. Click “RSVP.“
11. Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all of your scheduled events.
