Free Virtual First-Time Homebuyer Seminar

Thinking about buying a first-home? Not sure where to start?

​NYCHA resident can learn how to understand the mortgage process, credit, down payment/closing cost assistance, etc.

This seminar will last between 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours including Q & A.  The seminar will be conducted online.

Requirements:

  • Have Computer, smart phone or tablet with WIFI/internet access
  • Or join telephonically to listen on your phones, although you will be unable to view any images.

A representative from NHS of Brooklyn will host the event and speakers include a Real Estate Attorney, Lender, Real Estate Agent, and Home Inspector.

Date: Tuesday, July 28, 2020

Time: 6:00pm – 7:30pm

Location: Virtual Platform

Follow these steps to register for this event in the NYCHA self-service portal – https://selfserve.nycha.info/  

  1. Register for online access & log-in to self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/ which will allow you to manage your own events.
  2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
  3. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
  4. Click “Upcoming Events” on the left side.
  5. Select “Query.”
  6. Go to the “Event Name” column.
  7. Type exactly as shown here (case sensitive): Neighborhood Housing Services of Brooklyn 7-28-2020
  8. Press Enter.
  9. Click “View Details.“
  10. Click “RSVP.“
  11. Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all of your scheduled events.

Upon Registration, a REES staff member will contact you with further instructions.
