Catering Business Pathways Program

 Take your Catering Business to the Next Level! 

Calling All NYCHA Caterers!

Take your catering business to the next level and apply for a brand new cohort of Catering Business Pathways!

Catering Business Pathways is an immersive business education program that will:

  • Teach you how to lead a profitable catering company
  • Provide mentorship and professional coaching opportunities, and
  • Help you get the licenses you need to grow your business

Applicants must be:

  • A NYCHA public housing resident or NYCHA Section 8 voucher holder
  • Actively selling food for at least the past year
  • Able to cook multiple quality dishes, or have a partner with that skill
  • Seeking to grow their business into a full-time venture

Catering Business Pathways is a collaboration between the NYC Housing Authority’s (NYCHA) Office of Resident Economic Empowerment & Sustainability (REES), NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS), and Citi Community Development.

Follow these steps to register for this event in the NYCHA self-service portal – https://selfserve.nycha.info/

  1. Register for online access & log-in to self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/ which will allow you to manage your own events.
  2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
  3. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
  4. Click “Upcoming Events” on the left side.
  5. Select “Query.”
  6. Go to the “Event Name” column.
  7. Type exactly as shown here (case sensitive): Catering Bronx 2 September 2019
  8. Press Enter.
  9. Click “View Details.“
  10. Click “RSVP.“
  11. Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all of your scheduled events.
