Many employers are looking to hire individuals with specialized skills or certifications. If you are a NYCHA resident looking for your first job or you would like to gain new skills in a particular field, you may want to seek job skills training services from a REES partner organization. These services will prepare you for careers in diverse fields like construction, hospitality, healthcare, and environmental remediation. Job training services through REES partners are offered to NYCHA residents at no cost.

REES partners provide training classes that last anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. Depending on the program curriculum, REES partners offer training classes that may include a mix of hands-on skills training, classroom training, and general job readiness preparation. Many programs include industry-recognized certifications that are in high demand among employers.

While job training providers can never guarantee employment to graduates, REES makes every effort to select training partners that offer results-oriented job placement services. REES partners will help graduates prepare for interviews and connect with potential employers in their selected field. On an ongoing basis, NYCHA will evaluate job training partners on the effectiveness of their services.
