    Summer Youth Employment ProgramThe Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) application is now OPEN! This program provides paid summer work experience to young adults ages 14 to 24. Apply by March 14, 2025!

     

    The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is the nation’s largest youth employment program, offering paid summer work experience for NYC youth between the ages of 14 and 24. Participants gain hands-on job experience, explore career pathways, and develop workplace, leadership, and civic skills.

    Residents of target developments have reserved slots through the MAP to $uccess and CareerFIRST programs. NYCHA residents ages 14-24 living outside these developments receive priority in the general citywide application.

    SYEP MAP 2 $uccess and CareerFIRST developments have dedicated providers to support youth with their SYEP experience. Youth applications for these developments will be routed directly to the corresponding provider listed below based on the applicant’s address.
