Year Up United Info Session for Spring 2026 enrollment

Year Up provides training and corporate internships for young adults interested in professional careers in Business and Technology. Year Up alumni earn $53,000 a year on average and over 90% of YEAR UP graduates are working and/or in college within six months. In this recruitment cycle, depending on the program, students participate in 3 or 6 month trainings followed by a 6 month internship.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

– Earn a stipend per week

– Learn in-demand technical, business, and professional skills

– Succeed in corporate internships with Fortune 500 companies, such as Google, JP Morgan Chase, New York Life and more!

– Belong to a community with on-going career support and guidance

To qualify, you must be:

– 18-29 years old

– High school graduate or GED recipient

– U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or have an employment authorization card

– Available 5 days a week (Monday – Friday) for the full course of the program

– Highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills

– Of low to moderate income

Follow these steps to register for this event in Opportunity Connect on the NYCHA self-service portal:

1.  Register for online access and/or log in to the NYCHA self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/
2.  Once you are logged in, click on “Manage Your Account.”
3.  Click on the “Opportunity Connect” icon.
4.  Go to “Upcoming Events” on the left menu.
5.  Select Event Plan: Year Up 2-26-2026 on the list of upcoming events and click on “view details”.
6.  You must read and confirm the “Information Sharing and Consent Statement” to continue to the final RSVP step.
7.  Click “RSVP”.

Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Note: In Opportunity Connect you can check “My Events” on the left menu at any time to see all your scheduled events. You can also cancel or reschedule.
