First Steps to Starting a Business Webinar

The purpose of this course is to assist you in defining your expectations for life as a business owner and in understanding the requirements for beginning a business in New York City.

Throughout the course, you will comprehend:

• Characteristics of prosperous businesspeople
• How to evaluate these qualities in yourself and plan for self-improvement
• Your motivations to becoming a business owner.
• Establish your expectations and the expectations of business owners in New York City.
• Where to draft an action plan to push yourself beyond your comfort zone and advance toward business ownership.

Follow these steps to register for this event in the NYCHA self-service portal – https://selfserve.nycha.info/

1. Register for online access & log-in to self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/ which will allow you to manage your own events.
2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
3. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
4. Click “Upcoming Events” on the left side.
5. Select “Query.”
6. Go to the “Event Name” column.
7. Type exactly as shown here (case sensitive): SBS First Steps to Starting a Business 2-13-25
8. Press Enter.
9. Click “View Details.“
10. Click “RSVP.“
11. Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all of your scheduled events.
