Explore new employment opportunities by earning your Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the CDL training program at HOSTOS. In this program you will be working with experienced instructors, have access to job placement services, union pay and benefits, and behind the wheel training. A CDL shows carriers and employers that you are a licensed and competent professional truck driver. Careers that require a Class B CDL include but are not limited to:

  • Local delivery drivers
  • Dump truck drivers
  • Truck drivers
  • Bus drivers

 

Program Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Class D Drivers License
  • Maximum of 4 points allowed on license
  • Clean driving history: No DUI or DWI
  • Minimum of 2 years of driving experience

Follow these steps to register for this event in the NYCHA self-service portal – https://selfserve.nycha.info/

  1. Register for online access & log-in to self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/ which will allow you to manage your own events.
  2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
  3. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
  4. Click “Upcoming Events” on the left side.
  5. Select “Query.”
  6. Go to the “Event Name” column.
  7. Type exactly as shown here (case sensitive): CDL Training Info Session 3-14-2024
  8. Press Enter.
  9. Click “View Details.“
  10. Click “RSVP.“
  11. Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all of your scheduled events.
