Please join our in-person The HRA/REES ABAWD Resource Event at The Child Center of NY is more than just an information session; it is a vital bridge to stability. If you receive SNAP benefits, you may need to meet work requirements to continue receiving them. In general, children, older adults, and people with disabilities are exempt from work requirements. Participation in education, training, or treatment programs may also satisfy work requirements. HRA reviews each case individually and will inform you if work requirements apply to you.

Follow these steps to register for this event in the NYCHA self-service portal – https://selfserve.nycha.info/

  1. Register for online access and/or log-in to the NYCHA self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/
  2. Once you are logged in, click “Manage Your Account.”
  3. Click “Opportunity Connect” icon.
  4. Go to “Upcoming Events” on the left menu.
  5. Select­­­­ HRA ABAWD (Bland, Latimer Gardens, College point, Levitt) Resource Event 4-23-2026 as shown here (case sensitive):  on the list of upcoming events and click “view details“
  6. You must read and confirm the “Information Sharing and Consent Statement” to continue to the final RSVP step.
  7. Click “RSVP.“
