Local 1 Bricklayer Training Info Session

NYCHA is partnering with the Bricklayer Local 1 union to connect qualified NYCHA residents to a 12-week pre-training program designed to prepare residents for their apprenticeship program and a rewarding career in bricklaying and masonry restoration PCC

12 WEEK MANDATORY PRE-TRAINING INCLUDES:

  • OSHA-30 10 HR. Site Safety training
  • 16 HR. Suspended Scaffolding
  • Access to union apprenticeship with Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 1 (at completion)
  • Access to employment referrals
  • 4 Hour Pipe Scaffold User card

TO PARTICIPATE APPLICANTS:

  • Must be Authorized NYCHA resident and 18 years of age or older
  • Have a high school degree or equivalent
  • Able to pass a drug test
  • Must complete one week of pre-employment orientation
  • Priority given to residents of Jacksons, Pelham Parkway, Lafayette Gardens, Roosevelt, Van Dyke, Vandalia, Douglass, East River, Thomas Apartments, Washington, Claremont Rehab Group 3, Forest, Highbridge, Millbrook, Morris, Teller Avenue, Farragut, Glenmore Plaza, Howard, Clinton, Dyckman, Smith, Two Bridges, Bland, Conlon Lihfe Tower, Woodside.
