Join us on December 11th, 2024, at 10:00 AM to learn about exciting opportunities at the Bronx Education Opportunity Center (Bx EOC)! We are actively recruiting NYCHA residents for a variety of programs designed to enhance your skills and career prospects. Explore our offerings, including Master Barber Training Certification, Doula Training, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Security Guard Training, Home Health Aide (HHA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), High School Equivalency (HSE) and College Prep. Don’t miss this chance to take a step towards a brighter future!

Bronx Education Opportunity Center (Bx EOC) is recruiting NYCHA residents for the following programs:

  • Master Barber Training Certification
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
  • Home Health Aide (HHA)
  • Security Officer Training
  • High School Equivalency Prep (HSE)
  • College Prep
  • Doula Training

Enrollment Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma for Vocational Training Programs
  • Must take TABE test
  • 18 years of age or older
  • NOT a college graduate
  • US citizen, Permanent Resident or Refugee
  • New York State Resident for a year (prior to enrollment)
  • Meet low-income guidelines

What to expect at the Information Session:

  • Residents interested will be registered for the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) at the information session
  • Learn about the application process and eligibility requirements
  • Review of the document check list

Follow these steps to register for this event in the NYCHA self-service portal – https://selfserve.nycha.info/

  1. Register for online access & log-in to self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/which will allow you to manage your own events.
  2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
  3. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
  4. Click “Upcoming Events “on the left side.
  5. Select “Query.” Go to the “Event Name Type exactly as shown here (case sensitive): Bronx Education Opportunity Center 12-11-2024
  6. Press Enter.
  7. Click “View Details.“
  8. Click “RSVP“
  9. Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all of your scheduled events.
