Free Supported User, DOT Flagger, and Security Guard Training for NYCHA residents

Are you a NYCHA resident that is interested in starting or building your construction career? Register to attend a four-day Scaffold User, DOT Flagger, and Security Guard training.

4-Day Training Certifications:

4-hour Flagger certification

4-hour supported Scaffold User certification

8- and 16-hour Security certifications

Fire guard test preparation

Training Times:

Monday, November 18th-21st from 9am-5:30pm.

 

Location will be provided to residents via confirmation email.

Requirements:

  • NYCHA residents are encouraged to apply, and priority will be given to Manhattanville, Grant, and St. Nicholas residents.
  • Must have Current OSHA 30 and SST 10 certifications
  • Valid New York City or State ID.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Able to participate in person.
  • Must commit all four days of training to receive certifications.

  1. Register for online access & log-in to self-service portal https://selfserve.nycha.info/which will allow you to manage your own events.
  2. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
  3. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
  4. Click “Upcoming Events” on the left side.
  5. Select “Query.”
  6. Go to the “Event Name” 
  7. Type exactly as shown here (case sensitive): Supported User DOT Flagger and Security Guard 11/18/24
  8. Press Enter.
  9. Click “View Details.“
  10. Click “RSVP“
  11. Check “My Events” to see all your scheduled events.
