 Manhattan Education Opportunity Center (MEOC) is recruiting NYCHA residents for the following programs:

  • High School Equivalency Prep (HSE)
  • OSHA 30 Construction Training
  • Security Officer Training
  • EKG training

Enrollment Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma for Vocational Training Programs
  • Must take TABE test.
  • 18 years of age or older
  • NOT a college graduate
  • US citizen, Permanent Resident or Refugee
  • New York State Resident for a year (prior to enrollment)
  • Meet low-income guidelines.

What to expect at the Information Session:

  • Residents interested will be registered for the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) test at the information session.
  • Learn about the application process and eligibility requirements.
  • Review of the document check list

Follow these steps to register for this event in the NYCHA self-service portal – https://selfserve.nycha.info/  

  1. Once you are logged in, Click “View Details.”
  2. Click “Opportunity Connect” on the bottom left side.
  3. Click “Upcoming Events” on the left side.
  4. Select “Query.”
  5. Go to the “Event Name” column.
  6. Type exactly as shown here (case sensitive): Manhattan Educational Opportunity Center 9-19-2024
  7. Press Enter.
  8. Click “View Details.“
  9. Click “RSVP.“
  10. Check your email for confirmation once you RSVP. Check “My Events” to see all of your scheduled events.
