Virtual Info Session for Workforce Development Services and Employment Opportunities

Wednesday, March 10th, 10:00am-11:00am

Join a virtual info session to learn about construction employment opportunities and workforce development services through Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corp. and Resident Economic Empowerment and Sustainability (REES).

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and be authorized NYCHA residents. Priority is given to authorized NYCHA residents from the following developments:

  • Armstrong I & II
  • 572 Warren Street
  • Berry Street-South 9th Street
  • Marcy Avenue-Greene Avenue Site A
  • Marcy Avenue-Greene Avenue Site B
  • Weeksville Gardens
  • Independence Towers
  • Williams Plaza

PROGRAM OUTLINE:

Residents must pre-register using the self-service link provided below and note the following:

  • The virtual zoom info sessions will be held on Thursday, January 28th and Thursday, February 4th at 10:00am
  • Zoom link and additional instructions will be provided to those that register
  • Virtual info session will cover the following:
    • Overview of Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration general services and employment opportunities available as part of the PACT-RAD Brooklyn Development project
    • Overview of REES’ general services
  • SPACE IS LIMITED – Residents will be registered on a first come first serve basis with priority given to residents from targeted developments listed above

YOU SHOULD REGISTER IF YOU:

  • Are an authorized NYCHA resident
  • Have an OSHA 30 construction safety certification
  • Are looking for section 3 work and have one (1) year construction experience (preferred)
  • Are comfortable with physical labor
