This is an on-call seasonal role expected to last through late October 2017; successful applicants will work 1-3 shifts per week. The Bike Mechanics assist with all aspects of bicycle assembly, maintenance, and repair. The mechanics are responsible for maintaining adequate fleet levels and making sure that the bikes are in compliance with the regulations established by the SLA with the DOT. Training on technical and unique aspects of Citi Bike NYC bikes will be provided. You’ll be a part of a fast-paced team that focuses on a bicycle transportation system with emphasis on building strong client and sponsor relationships, while exceeding the highest standards for service. This position reports to the Bike Fleet Operations Manager.

As a Citi Bike Squad Ambassador, you will sell day passes and memberships to New Yorker’s and visitors while representing the Citi Bike brand at assigned events and locations which could include Citi Bike stations, corporate partner events, residential building tabling, community events, sponsorship activation, Summer Streets, and other special events in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and occasionally Jersey City.

Associate Station Technicians
The Associate Station Technicians assist in the monitoring of station conditions throughout the city. They will be working under the guidance and supervision of the Technical Service Operations Manager and Station Technician Supervisors.

The Balancer will be responsible for assisting a driver while relocating bikes throughout the system. To that end, the Balancer, with a driver, will load and unload the vehicle with bikes, and dock/undock bikes at every station stop. The Balancer will work under the guidance and supervision of the Assistant Manager for Motorized Redistribution and Redistribution Field Assistant Managers. The seasonal Driver will be responsible for operating vehicles, including flatbed trucks, for the purposes of deploying new stations throughout New York City. This position will report directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and will work from 7 am – 3 pm with the potential for working some weekends.
